NGINA announces funding support to enable Member participation in 2019 Growing Leaders Program

The Nursery and Garden Industry NSW & ACT (NGINA) is encouraging its members to apply for the 2019 Growing Leaders program and is delighted to be able to provide funding support for one successful Member (or Members’ staff) to participate in the development opportunity.

“The Green Industry Growing Leaders Program is a unique course that focuses on providing leaders and aspiring leaders with the skills required to ensure their business remains positioned at the forefront of our industry’s growth” said Ray Lee, General Manager, NGINA.

“Whilst the cost of the Growing Leaders course is funded by Horticulture Innovation Australia using nursery and turf industry levies and funds from the Australian Government, there are travel related costs associated with attendance.

“At NGINA we are committed to assisting our members gain the skills and know-how that can provide them with a strategic and competitive advantage to be profitable, professional and secure in their businesses.

“As a commitment to this, the Board has agreed to provide funding* to one successful NGINA applicant (members or members’ staff) to ensure they can attend and participate in the program,” confirmed Mr Lee.

Note: Application for attendance at this program is via a short online written survey. Applications will be assessed by the Program committee, with successful participants advised after the closing date.

The Growing Leaders Program is open to nursery and turf levy payers and members of their respective supply chains. It is a three phase program conducted over three months and consists of:

Phase 1: Two-day Leadership Forum. Wednesday 1- Thursday 2 May, 2019. Sydney.

Phase 2: Workplace Project.

Phase 3: Two-day Leadership Forum. Thursday1- Friday 2 August, 2019. Brisbane.
