2019 Pioneers Lunch - Member invitation
This year, the Nursery & Garden Industry NSW & ACT (NGINA) has given its annual Nursery Hero’s Lunch a fresh name and is growing the guest list by extending an invite to all NGINA members to attend.
In previous years, the Nursery Pioneers Lunch, was attended primarily by the statesmen and stateswomen who forged and shaped the industry in NSW and the ACT. However, the NGINA Board recognises that this lunch can play an even more important role in the development of the industry, for nothing helps deepen knowledge as effectively as sharing it.
“Our pioneer members have been there and done that, so to speak, and the importance of their knowledge cannot be overstated”, said General Manager Ray Lee.
“ We’re inviting NGINA members who wish to attend to set aside Friday 14 June to come along to the Pioneers Lunch and enjoy this platform where our revered members will share their wisdom in their own words and with their own colour. The conversation is bound to be both inspiring and insightful.
“It was also suggested to us by a hero that the word pioneer respectfully recognises the contribution made by attendees, hence the event name change.
“With so many of our pioneers passing their livelihoods onto family members and current members fostering family businesses, we’re looking forward to a wonderful lunch that provides both the chance for reflection and also the opportunity to grow.
